Breaking the cycle of trying & failing (Sarah's no-BS version) <3
Feeling Stuck & Overwhelmed
Have you ever felt like no matter what you tryâdiets, workout plans, new habitsâyou just canât make it stick?
Like youâre putting in the effort, but nothing seems to change? I totally get that.
Itâs so frustrating when you want to make a change, but every attempt leaves you feeling like youâre spinning your wheels, stuck in the same place.
It can feel like youâre doing all the right things, but somehow, youâre still not moving forward. đ
Fear of Making the Wrong Move
Itâs not just about feeling stuckâitâs the fear of taking the wrong step.
I know from experience how anxiety about making the âwrongâ choice can leave you doing nothing at all.
I used to be paralyzed by the idea that if I didnât make the perfect decision, Iâd be back at square one, or worse, wasting my time and energy.
But hereâs the thing: doing something is better than nothing at all. Itâs about making progress, not perfection.
Thatâs why itâs so important to stop trying to change everything at once or expecting instant results. Slow, steady steps work better.
Trust me, Iâve learned this from working with 100+ women over the past 4 years, all struggling with perfectionism, overthinking, and negative body image.
What Might Be Holding You Back
1. Trying to Do Too Much at Once
Iâve seen this over and overâtrying to change everything at once because you think itâll get you to your goal faster.
But in reality, itâs a recipe for burnout. The key is focusing on just one small, manageable step at a time.
2. Perfectionism
I know this struggle too wellâthinking if itâs not perfect, itâs not worth doing at all.
But perfectionism is a trap.
Progress doesnât have to be perfect. In fact, small, imperfect steps are how real change happens.
3. Comparing Yourself to Others
Iâve done it, and I know you have tooâcomparing yourself to someone else who seems to âhave it all together.â
But comparison keeps you stuck. Your journey is yours, and the only person you need to be better than is the person you were yesterday.
4. Youâre Doing It Alone
Itâs hard to stay motivated when you donât have support or accountability. I get it.
Having someone in your corner can make all the difference in keeping you consistent and moving forward, especially when things get tough.
5. Not Addressing the Emotional Stuff
If youâre not tackling the emotional barriersâlike fear, self-doubt, or feeling unworthyâyouâll keep getting in your own way.
How you feel about yourself is just as important as what youâre doing.
Trust me, Iâve been through this too, and Iâve seen it in so many of the women I coach.
What To Do Next
- Start small. Choose one habit to focus on. It doesnât need to be hugeâit just needs to be consistent.
- Get support. You donât have to do this alone. When you have someone helping you know exactly what steps to take, itâs so much easier.
- Progress, not perfection. The right time isnât going to magically appear. Start where you are, even if itâs messy.
How To Do It
What if instead of feeling overwhelmed, there was a way to take action that felt doable?
Imagine making changes that fit into your life, rather than you bending over backward to fit into some unrealistic plan.
What if you had support from people who actually understand what itâs like to struggle with perfectionism and the fear of failure?
People who see your effort, not just the outcome, and understand that wellness is so much more than âeating betterâ or âworking out more.â
No More Starting Over
I know it can feel impossible sometimes, like no matter how hard you try, youâll never get it right.
But what if this was the last time you had to âstart overâ?
What if instead of trying to fix everything at once, you focused on one thing at a time, with the right support to guide you?
You donât have to do it perfectly. You just need to do it in a way that works for you and feels sustainable.
